FPC Auburn is grateful to continue supporting the wonderful work of the Domestic Violence Intervention Center through our Pentecost Offering this year! Although the PC(USA) no longer includes this offering in its Special Offerings calendar, last month our session voted unanimously to continue this meaningful tradition, with 100% of the offering going directly to DVIC (https://dviceastal.org/about-us/).

You can participate by placing your gift in the offering plate, mailing it to the church office (please note "Pentecost" on the memo line or envelope), or by giving online at www.fpcauburn.org/give and selecting “special offering.”

Celebrate Pentecost with the Living River Staff!

This Pentecost Sunday, May 24, we are pleased to welcome the Rev. Rachel Mathews as our guest preacher. Rev. Mathews serves as the Development Director of our presbytery camp, Living River. We are very fortunate that joining her in worship leadership are two of Living River's veteran camp counselors, Bel Marshall (member of Grace Presbyterian in Tuscaloosa and student at University of Montevallo) and Linley Byars (member of First Presbyterian in Tuscaloosa and student at the University of South Alabama). 

Join us in welcoming our guest worship leaders and be on the lookout for camp information they will have with them - there is still time to register for the many wonderful programs Living River offers young people each summer!

Join us this summer for four amazing Sunday evenings that will include scripture studies for adults, youth, and children, as well as recreation, fellowship, and dinner.

Punch on the Lawn - 'Tis the Season

Please join us for a time of fellowship in the courtyard after the 11:00 a.m. worship service. If you would be willing to provide punch one Sunday, please sign-up in the narthex or follow this link.

Keep the food donations coming!!! 

Many of our neighbors are using the Blessing Box weekly so we are always in need of more donations. Donated items can be placed in the basket on the second floor of the education building located outside of Kathy Rushing's office. Non-perishable food items* are always welcome, especially the following:

Children Pre-K through 5th grade

• Sunday School:  Children's Sunday school will meet this Sunday from 10-10:45 downstairs in their Sunday school classrooms.  ***Please note, Sunday school for children and youth will take a break for the summer beginning June 7. Sunday school will resume on Rally Day August 9.***
• Godly Play: After the Word to Grow By, children Pre-K through 2nd grade will head down to the Godly Play room for worship and fun! 
• Worship bags are available for all children during worship.

• Prayers of healing for Karen Delano’s daughter Hillary and son-in-law Reece. Hillary is recovering from minor back surgery. Reece is recovering after having a life threatening bacteria infection that led to amputating part of his left leg. Prayers for Karen as she cares for her family.
• Prayers of healing for Mary Simon as she recovers from successful leg surgery and receives rehab treatment. 
• Prayers of healing for Kristina Michel as she recovers from an accident.
