World Communion Offering — Sunday, October 4

This Sunday, October 4, we will receive the PC(USA) World Communion Offering, formerly known as the Peace & Global Witness Offering. This offering supports the church’s work for peace, reconciliation, and justice around the world. New this year, all proceeds will help fund a new grant program that will allow any PC(USA) council—session, presbytery, or synod—to apply for funds to support ministry in these areas. We invite you to join Presbyterians across the denomination in this special offering as we seek to put our faith into action for a more peaceful and just world.

There are three ways to give:

  •   place your cash or check donation in Sunday's offering plate in an envelope marked "World Communion"
  •   bring your gift directly to the church office
  •   give online at www.fpcauburn.org/give and choose the option for "Special Offering"

Join us after the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday, October 11, as we kick off our 2027 Stewardship Campaign, Grace in Action! We’ll gather for food, fellowship, and a time to celebrate how God’s grace is at work through the generosity of our church family. We hope you’ll join us as we look ahead to another year of ministry together. (Lunch is provided and is free of charge!)

Join us Saturday, October 10, at the Community Market!

This fall we continue our Second Saturday volunteer opportunity for members of ALL ages at the Community Market. Due to the overwhelming need for volunteers, there are no longer set shifts - come whenever you can between 8:30am-12:30pm and stay as long as you like. We are grateful for any time you can give!

Sunday October 18

Portions of Gay Street will be closed

On Sunday morning October 18, the city will be closing Gay Street from Thach Avenue to Miller Avenue due to construction. If you are coming to church from the south part of town you can still get to the church using College Street to Thach Avenue or from Chewacla Drive/Ross Street to Thach Avenue.

Flu Clinic

It is almost Fall and time to prepare for Flu prevention. Put Sunday, October 4, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, on your calendar to receive your annual flu vaccine. The clinic will be under the covered walkway leading to the church parking lot as we have done the last several years. We will partner with The Drug Store and Ashley Hoyt will be the pharmacist on site. If this is your first time using the clinic you will need your medical insurance card.

Looking forward to seeing you at the clinic!
