Community Market Needs Manual Can Openers!

We sometimes have people come through the Community Market who are unhoused or do not own a can opener, and something as simple as a can opener can be a challenge. If you have an extra one kicking around, please consider donating it to us. We take a lot for granted!

If you have questions about this opportunity to serve, please reach out to Nick or Kathy Reed (nreed@fpcauburn.org, kreed@fpcauburn.org).

Help feed our UKirk students!

We’re looking for individuals, families, Sunday school classes, and groups of friends to provide Sunday dinner for 15–20 students. Meals can be simple—students love everything! Sign up to provide a main dish, vegetable or salad, and dessert, either on your own or with a group. Your hospitality helps create a welcoming place where students can gather, connect, and feel at home.

Prayer Concerns & Celebrations

Dear FPC Family,

I want to thank you all for your caring and concern throughout this cancer “journey” that Joe and I are going through. I know that there were many prayer cards during the vigil in the opening and that was so appreciated. We have received phone calls, cards, visits, meals and flowers and all of these things have brightened our days. Our church is full of kind and caring people; you have made us feel loved. My treatment results are so far positive. I have made it through chemotherapy but I still have surgery & radiation to go. It’s a long process but your support has made it easier.

Thank you all, love Elizabeth (Garrett)

  • Our church wants to share the extremely sad news that Mike Williams died early Thursday morning while receiving hospice care at home. Mike was such a steady and faithful presence for our church and our community and we will all miss him dearly. Please keep Carolyn, Greg, Katie, and all of the family and friends of Mike as we all grieve his death. There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, August 28, at 3pm in the sanctuary with a reception in Conway Hall to follow.
