UPDATE!!
The response to our Sacred Community Project from the FPC Family and Friends continues to overwhelm! We have received a total of $370,880.80, with an additional estimated $25,000 of in-kind donations and pledges for a total of approximately $395,880* toward our $400,000 goal. (*Please note this number is not final.)
Because of your generosity, we have paid off our $200,000 loan through the Presbyterian Foundation which funded the sanctuary roof and renovations, and have begun work on sprucing up Baird Hall. The new lighting is already in (and looking good!) and painting should begin soon, with new flooring to follow.
We are on track to having a refreshed multi-use space to complement our lovely sanctuary. Well done, faithful servants.

Presbyterian Community Ministry
Launches New Brand and Website
Founded here at First Presbyterian Church in 1969, Presbyterian Community Ministry (PCM) has been a quiet presence in Lee County for over 50 years. PCM provides emergency utility loans and funds critical home repairs for neighbors with nowhere else to turn. Their work has always been steady, faithful, and largely unseen.
This summer, PCM has taken a meaningful step forward. With the help of a local design firm, the organization has launched a refreshed brand identity and a new website at PCM-AL.org. The new site makes it easier than ever for neighbors in need to find help, and for donors to give.
We are proud to celebrate this milestone with them. If you have not yet visited the new site, we encourage you to take a look. And if you feel called to support the work PCM does in our community, there has never been a better time to give.

Summer Sermon Series
Appreciate These Things: Eight Ways of Cultivating Compassion
This June and July, we invite you to join us for a summer sermon series inspired by Jill Duffield’s Appreciate These Things: Eight Ways of Cultivating Compassion. Drawing on the virtues named in Philippians 4:8, this series will explore how followers of Christ are called to nurture compassion, gentleness, gratitude, and grace in everyday life. In a divisive and broken world, these timely messages will encourage us to become people who reflect the love and mercy of Christ in our relationships, our community, and our witness.
