Pardon Our Progress!

Over the next several weeks exciting improvements will be made to the entrance of our sanctuary. During this time the doors facing Thach Ave. will not be available (though in the case of an emergency, these doors are accessible.)

Please enter the sanctuary through the side door facing the courtyard or the breezeway leading to the Gay St. parking lot.

Many thanks to our Property Committee volunteers and church staff for the time and energy being invested in these projects!

PCM Assists 131 Families During First Quarter

The Presbyterian Community Ministry (PCM) provided financial and home repair and renovation assistance to 131 Lee County families during the first quarter of this year.

Total income for the quarter was $70,838; expenses were $73,755. Income included $14,227 from membership dues; $30,640 from federal funds for home repair; $13,000 from our church’s Outreach Committee, and $2,785 from donations. Expenses included about $31,000 for home repairs and about $31,000 for utilities.

Dorcas was among those PCM helped. After the man she paid to repair her roof disappeared with the money, PCM helped Dorcas get the new roof that she needed desperately.

Already having financial difficulties, Don and Renee were in an accident that totaled their car and injured Renee badly. When they couldn’t pay their power bill, PCM paid it.

When Brianna was eight months pregnant, her husband left her and their three children. She was not working, and he refused to help them financially. PCM paid her power bill and located other agencies might help her with other expenses.

Donations of any amount from our church members are always welcome. Those who wish to make a gift to PCM should send their checks to PCM, 143 East Thach Avenue, Auburn, AL 36830. Those wishing to become individual annual members ($250) or family members ($300) should send their checks to the same address.
