*Turkey Bowl* is on *Friday, Nov. 21st during 5th and 6th periods.*

*But first, let’s have some fun in the lead up…*

This year, just like last year, Turkey Bowl will have a friendly competitive element between grade levels, starting NOW!

*6th vs. 7th vs. 8th… which grade level will be victorious and win a Dress Down Day?!*

Here’s how students can earn points for their grade level:

*Now - Nov 12th* - Bring in donations to your homeroom for the Thanksgiving Food Drive. 🦃 Help your grade level win points AND help the community! Please refer to Food Drive flyer for needed items.

*Nov 13th - Nov 19th* - _Penny Wars_- 💰 Gather your change and fill up jars! Pennies HELP your grade level total, anything more than a penny will subtract from the total amount in a grade level’s jar. Hint: You can add money to other grades’ jars. 🤭

*Nov 21st* - _Turkey Bowl Day Class Spirit_ - 🎉 Dress in class color and show some Lancer Spirit by cheering on your teams!

*For students who want to play!* 🏈

There will be two flag football teams per grade level and the players/participants will be selected by lottery. Sign up will be next week Monday 8:30am-Wednesday 9:00am. A sign up link/QR code will be available at the front of the school on Monday and Wednesday of next week 8:30am-9:00am.

*Students must be in good standing.

Let’s show our teachers some love! Please consider donating a ream of paper to a teacher.

💡 Don’t know which teacher to donate to? If you leave the teacher name blank, the paper will go to teachers who do not receive any donations but still need to make copies for their students.

Once again, Palmetto Middle will be participating in Give Miami Day. 💜 This November 16th we're offering you a new way to show up for our school: the first-ever Give Miami 5K Race & Festival!

This is a great way to raise funds for our school. 100% of all registration fees go directly to Palmetto Middle when you register with our team.

Students who register for the 5K will receive 10 community service hours. If a student plus a parent register, the student will receive 15 community service hours. This is the maximum number of hours that can be earned for this event. Note: This is an unsupervised event.

Follow this link to register for the 5K run/walk and stay tuned for more details on Give Miami Day. Remember, you must be registered with our Palmetto Middle team to earn service hours. Thank you!
