Ministry Highlight: Philoptochos
On behalf of the executive board and members of the Philoptochos Society Nausica, we wish all our parishioners, families, and friends a blessed and joyous Nativity, along with health and happiness in the New Year!
Without your ongoing support throughout the year, our chapter couldn't fulfill its mission of helping those in need, both in our community and around the world. Thanks to everyone’s participation and generosity in supporting our recent Bid-N-Buy, we are able to distribute funds to deserving organizations and philanthropies that align with our mission this holiday season.
As part of our community outreach, your support has helped us provide holiday gifts for children of veterans at the Coatesville center, making their holidays brighter. Children from 8 veteran families, aged 2 to 16, will find clothes, toys, and other essentials under their trees this year! Thanks to Ginny Markos for leading this meaningful holiday effort!
On Sunday, January 11, 2026, we will once again host the Vasilopita cutting for our community. Please join us for our Vasilopita breakfast after the divine liturgy, with proceeds supporting our Philoptochos ministries, including Saint Basil’s Academy.

FOCUS ON OUR CHURCH FAMILY
Celebrations, Milestones, Gratitude, Comfort & Support
| | |
Pastoral care: If you or someone you know is sick, homebound, elderly, or scheduled for surgery, please call the church office to inform us so that Fr. John can make a pastoral visit or add someone to the prayer list.
In Our Prayers, “Pray for one another that you might be healed.” (James 5:16): Palestine, Melanie, Alexa, Brenda, Alina, Elijah, Ahmad, Aris, Stefani, Andrew, Sarah, Olga, Koula.
Names will remain on this list for approximately 3 months. Please resubmit Names if needed. Fr. John will include the submitted names in the Psokomide “Offering of Gifts” during Matins, when he prepares the mystical gifts of bread & wine. Our Prayer Partners Ministry members pray for these persons daily. Please also lift these names to the Lord in your personal prayer life.
Prayer for healing: Heavenly Father, physician of our souls and bodies, who has sent our Lord to heal every sickness. Visit and heal us. Grant patience in this sickness, strength of body and spirit, and health recovery. Lord, You have taught us to pray for each other that we may be healed. We pray that You heal, guide, and protect your servants (pray by name for those who are sick) and grant them the gift of complete health. You are the source of healing, and to You we give glory, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
