Memory of our Father among the Saints Hierotheos of Athens
- 8:30 a.m. MATINS, 9:30 DIVINE LITURGY
- Catechism classes following Holy Communion.
- Our Choir offers the Artoklasia – offering of five loaves, wine, and oil – for the health and salvation of the members and their families (feast of Saint Romanos the Melodist, October 1).
- Our GOYA hosts a bake sale and the coffee fellowship hour (see below).

Today, October 4, the National Forum of Greek Orthodox Church Musicians celebrates National Church Music Sunday
In commemoration of our parish’s 125th anniversary, our choir will present compositions for the Divine Liturgy by Alexander Pierce Hill.
Mr. Hill joins us from St. Spyridon parish in Loveland, CO. For Hill, composition is not simply craft but a spiritual act - an offering of beauty shaped by faith. Choir members from parishes across the country join us today to help us celebrate our anniversary and the establishment of Orthodox Christianity in the Philadelphia area.

Pastoral Care
If you or someone you know is sick, homebound, elderly, or scheduled for surgery, please contact the church office to notify us so Fr. John can make a pastoral visit or add them to the prayer list.
In Our Prayers: “Pray for one another that you might be healed.” (James 5:16). Prayer for healing: Heavenly Father, physician of our souls and bodies, who has sent our Lord to heal every sickness. Visit and heal us. Grant patience in this sickness, strength in body and spirit, and recovery in health. Lord, You have taught us to pray for each other that we may be healed. We pray that You heal, guide, and protect Your servants: Those experiencing homelessness and hunger, Magda, Pavle, Mihaila, Alexander, Marihiam, Julio, Amarilis, Pavlos, Vasiliki, George, Julianna, Irene, Scott (include your own names here), and grant them the gift of complete health. You are the source of healing, and to You we give glory, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen
