WEDI's new Patient Experience Workgroup will focus primarily on bringing the patient perspective and patient experience into health care business processes and workflow and including the patient viewpoint across WEDI workgroups and initiatives. Initial topics for the workgroup include: (i) level setting on current patient advocacy initiatives within health IT data standards; (ii) providing insight into patient use of health technology; and (iii) educating patients on using health APIs and how best to ensure the confidentiality of their health information. Join co-chairs Anna Hyde (Arthritis Foundation) and Emma Andelson (American Medical Association) on the Second Monday of each month at 1pm ET beginning September 8th!

Join the Workgroup

Tuesday 3PM ET: Join us for a discussion of the new Wasteful and Inappropriate Service Reduction (WISeR) from the CMS Innovation Center. The WISeR model will leverage the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve and expedite the prior authorization process. Helping to facilitate the discussion will be industry experts Mollie Gelburd (AHIP) and WEDI Board member Julie Brown-Georgi (American Medical Association). Come learn and your perspectives on this innovative CMS model!

Thursday 11AM ET: The Claims Subworkgroup will discuss current work products and solicit feedback from the group on future issues for the group to focus on.
