The WEDI Board of Directors is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2025 Awards Program. Each year our organization recognizes outstanding WEDI volunteers and member organizations through our annual awards program.

10AM Provider Information Subworkgroup

Join us as we review the draft survey being developed to gauge industry challenges and best practices related to exchanging and maintaining provider data. We will also be discussing the latest news on provider information and directories.

11AM Remittance Advice and Payment Subworkgroup

Join the Remittance Advice and Payment SWG to be part of the discussion learning about updates to the remittance advice transaction and identifying best practices for overcoming challenges that exist in today’s workflow. We provide comments and feedback on proposed regulations and ensure the voice of all stakeholders is heard. We also discuss EFT and payment methodologies including regulations, challenges, and best practices that come with implementing. Our current body of work is to create fact sheets that give a teaser and touch on the changes to the 80next 835 transaction.

Claims: Join us to help finalize our Healthcare 101 fact sheet and begin developing a checklist of proposed changes for the next version of the 837 transaction. Healthcare claims remain central to administrative processes, and there's still room for learning and improvement.

11AM Genomics Workgroup

Join us as we dive into the use of unique test identifiers and how they may apply to prior authorization, claims, and improving patient care. Join the discussion to learn more about this fast-growing area of health care.

1PM Claims Subworkgroup

2PM Claim Status Subworkgroup

Join us to review our Claim Status Fact Sheet and Q & A Document with attendees. The SWG is looking for confirmation and approval to submit the documents to WEDI for approval and publication.

2PM Patient Experience Workgroup

Join us as we provide an overview of our goals and objectives in bringing the patient perspective to WEDI workstreams and serving as a resource to WEDI members and workgroups. We will also review our potential list of workgroup projects, seeking feedback from attendees on the top priorities for our first project.

3PM Privacy & Security Workgroup

Join this interactive workgroup discussion on why our industry is still failing in conducting HIPAA Risk Analyses, as evidenced by ongoing OCR Corrective Action Plans. We will delve into the Risk Analysis process to identify and discuss practical tools, resources, helpful hints, and lessons learned as we work to close this gap.

3PM Eligibility and Benefits Subworkgroup

Join the Eligibility and Benefit SWG to be part of the discussion shaping the project proposal re: 2025-2026 SWG initiatives to address: 1) the explorative discovery analyzing why so many payers receive phone calls despite the high volume of 270/271 transactions being exchanged; 2) what is behind the somewhat recent spike in 270/271 volume that does not translate into a comparable number of claims?

The E&B SWG will continue drafting the project proposal to align our 2026 SWG initiatives while discussing these two topics in search of recommendations and guidance for the industry.
