Congress is in session this week. Following the House’s adoption of its competing budget resolution, which envisions one “big, beautiful bill” on the reconciliation process, the Senate and the House will now begin discussion on the way forward that Senate and House leadership can support. The appropriations process is moving toward a year-long continuing resolution, after the President and some Appropriators came out to support the process. Congress is two weeks out from a funding cliff on March 14th. This Tuesday, March 4th, during a joint session of Congress, President Trump will deliver his fifth State of the Union address. | |
