This week's theme is "
Centering Interest
" - I think the two most consistent questions a photographer asks themselves are How and Where. The initial thought of where should I go leads to how do I get there. Upon arrival, then arises how do I capture this scene and where do I put the focus? Do I fill the frame completely, work with negative space to show a fresh perspective or lie on my stomach and look for an angle that doesn't present itself until you make yourself physically uncomfortable. The framing and where you want the viewer's eye to go is so important. There are no right answers. I find putting the most interesting part of an image dead center works more often than not. When you do this, the thought of not only what is filling the center of the frame is just as important as what is on the edges. In any strong image ever part of the frame has purpose.
