There is something special about creating black and white images. After many years of editing, I have come to understand what captures will stand up well to the deep shadows and contrast of a monochromatic editing treatment. I find sometimes that color can be a bit of a distraction in some compositions and removing that element can help pronounce the message trying to be relayed visually with more impact.
