This week's theme is "Lake Scenes" – A true sense of calm overtakes me whenever I am near a lake. In contrast to an endlessly raging ocean, a lake allows the elements in and around the area to just be. Often, you can see the edges of the shore and wrap your mind around where things begin and end. From a photography standpoint, lakes present all kinds of wonderful opportunities. There are reflections to capture, nature to observe in its relationship to the scene and quite often each season accenting the view in a beautiful display of transition.
