Major Investor Event Brings in Historic ARPAC Support
|
|
Thursday's Major Investor Event was the single-largest night of support for ARPAC in HAAR's history.
Staff is still collecting investments, but
Major Investors raised more than $44,000 and we are already more than 85% away from meeting our annual goal for 2020.
ARPAC was a force last year, supporting schools locally in North Alabama and advocating for REALTOR® issues in Montgomery. Already in 2020 our government affairs and advocacy team has worked with the City of Madison to table the issue of impact fees and impacted local races for Tax Collector and County Commission.
From the Halls of Congress to the City Halls of Huntsville and Madison, RPAC affects change that keeps our local industry strong, fights for homeownership, and makes it easier for REALTORS to serve their clients.
Become a Major Investor today and impact your industry. Email alan@valleymls.com to join the team!

Annual Economic Report Recaps a Great Year, Identifies Challenges for 2020
|
|
This year, October was the peak month for the lowest average time houses stayed on market, at 31 days. Although that time has increased slightly toward the end of the year, 2020 is expected to hover around the annual average in the first quarter of next year. 2020 will also see lower inventory than the 993 listings seen on December 31.
Although housing prices are rising at manageable rates with an improving economy, costs could increase at a higher rate in 2020 because of further dwindling inventory and higher-income families expected to move into the region in the year to come.

In our ongoing mission to boost engagement and grow as REALTORS® and individuals here at HAAR, we’re thrilled to launch a new program called
HAAR Reads
. Every quarter, we’ll encourage members to read a new book relevant to our industry, and host a coffee for everyone to get together and discuss parts of the book that most struck a chord with them.
Our first book is Brene' Brown’s “Dare to Lead”. To participate, read the book and join us on Friday, April 3rd at 9:00am for a coffee and light breakfast to discuss how it relates to your life, personally or professionally.
We’re always taking suggestions, so if you have a book that has changed the way you look at things and you think would be good for HAAR Reads, we’re all ears! Thank you to
Choice Home Warranty, Christina Williams
for their support of our inaugural HAAR Reads!
