Our HOME guests will be with us Feb. 8 - 15

HOME of Somerset County, Inc. provides care and counseling for families in need during the day, and houses of worship, like BBPC provide a warm meal, a safe place to sleep at night, and fellowship for the families. We are looking for volunteers to make and serve dinners, spend time with our guests in the evenings and stay overnight. We count on our many volunteers to make this effort a success and give our guests the care that makes BBPC feel like home.

If you have any questions, please contact Sharon Dougherty at sbdoc2012@gmail.com

The Membership Commission needs coffee hour hosts for Sundays. A new sign-up calendar is posted in the fellowship/reception area. We supply the coffee, you supply the snacks. The first Sunday of each month is hosted by the Membership Fellowship commission, but there are many “golden” opportunities to get together with friends and host a coffee hour.

Upper Room Devotionals

have arrived

Our smaller copies of the Upper Room Devotional have arrived and are in the reception area.

My deepest and heartfelt thanks to my BBPC family. Your cards, messages and meals during this difficult time of losing my mother meant more than I can say. I truly appreciate all of you.

Dishes

On January 25th Church Dishes will be available until noon in the preschool room to anyone who would like some. There are plates, cups and saucers. The dishes have not been used in at least 5 years but have been taken out annually and washed by hand and plastic-wrapped prior to our annual kitchen inspection by county officials. They are taking up all available kitchen cabinet space which is much needed and everyone hosting events recently has chosen to use disposables, as washing the dishes by hand before and after use by health guidelines is quite a daunting process.

BBPC Food Pantry has an Amazon WishList!

Thanks to the continued support and donations from the BBPC congregation, the Sunday Food Pantry is able to provide food and non-food items to approximately 140 families every week. In addition to leaving donations on the pew in the parking lot vestibule, BBPC members can now donate to the pantry through the newly established, easy to use Sunday Food Pantry Amazon WishList. Simply click on the link and purchase an item, or several, from the list. Donations will be delivered to the BBPC office. If you have any questions please reach out to Sharon Dougherty at the BBPC office or Diane Gilson at 908-208-6698.

DONATIONS MUST BE SENT TO THE CHURCH

Your support for our wish list is amazing! Packages have been coming in each week and we can't thank you enough.

Thanks again!

Life saving surgery/liver donation

I am writing with all the hope in the world to find someone who can help me with a life saving surgery. My name is Alejandro Vazquez Rojas, a Bound Brook Community Member since September 2004 to Present. I have established my roots in this community that I love so much. Today, I am asking one more time for my community and the church for help. I am battling advanced end-stage liver disease, and one of my treatment options is to receive a liver donation from a living donor. I would greatly appreciate the church if the church family could spread the word and share this website which provides more information about living liver donation that my loved ones created to spread the word .
