Dear Friends,

I am writing to let you know that I will be out of the office from Friday, July 10, through Saturday, July 18.

While I will be away from Bound Brook during this time, this is not a vacation. Instead, I have been called to serve our wider denomination as a faculty member for the Art of Transitional Ministry program at the Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center.

During this week, I will be teaching both Week 1 and Week 2 of the curriculum, walking alongside and supporting over 25 pastors from across the country as they discern and train for interim and transitional ministry.

It is a profound privilege to represent the Presbyterian Church at Bound Brook in this capacity, helping support transitional leaders who will stabilize and revitalize churches in transition.

Note on Pastoral Care: Please contact the Caring Minister on call at the bottom of the Buzz.

Thank you for your partnership in ministry and for supporting me as I give back to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in this way. I look forward to being back with you all on Sunday, July 19!

Peace and blessings,

Rev. Justin Warner

Saturday, July 4, at 2:50pm,

our tower bell will ring 13 times

referencing the original 13 colonies that composed

the United States

The National Bell Festival invites bells and bell towers across America to ring out together on Independence Day, creating a canopy of sound over our nation. Cathedrals and churches, community organizations and historical structures, national parks and memorials, and people from coast to coast are encouraged to gather and contribute to the sound.

This symbolic gesture of ringing bells together celebrates our commitment to community, honors our nation's incredible past, and inspires the next generation of American patriots.

Come out to the front lawn at 2:40 on Saturday to hear our bell ring

The 1773

Field Bible

The Field Bible is a relic of the Revolutionary Era at Bound Brook Presbyterian Church. In 1784, elder Michael Field presented this 1773 bible to Rev. Israel Read, as noted in a handwritten dedication. To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Field Bible will be exhibited in the sanctuary during worship on July 5, 2026. An ongoing display about the Field Bible is in the reception area.

Thanks to the continued support and donations from the BBPC congregation, the Sunday Food Pantry is able to provide food and non-food items to approximately 140 families every week. In addition to leaving donations on the pew in the parking lot vestibule, BBPC members can now donate to the pantry through the newly-established, easy-to-use Sunday Food Pantry Amazon WishList. Simply click on the link and purchase an item, or several, from the list. Donations will be delivered to the BBPC office. If you have any questions please reach out to Sharon Dougherty at the BBPC office or Diane Gilson at 908-208-6698.
