Micah McCreary


A native of Detroit, Michigan, Rev. Dr. Micah L. McCreary began his term as the 12th president of New Brunswick Theological Seminary in 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan; a Master of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union University; and a Master of Science andPh.D. in Counseling Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has received several fellowships, including the American Psychological Association Minority Fellowship, the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia Fellowship, and the American Council on Education Presidential Fellowship.

Theron Cromer


Theron has performed lead roles in various operas including Don Giovanni, Goyescas, La Cambiale di Matrimonio, Dialogues of the Carmelites, Albert Herring, Il Giovedi Grasso, The Abduction from the Seraglio and Nabucco. His concert work includes tenor solos in Carmina Burana, Mozart’s Coronation

Mass, Haydn’s The Creation, Mendelssohn’s Elijah and concerts of Broadway and popular music with a group of tenors called "Tenors on stage."

Four of our students we support for many years have graduated from Martinpur

Christian Girls’ School. Our support has enabled them to further their education

and have promising careers. They are enrolled in the following programs:


  • Emaan Ikram- Bachelor of Science in Nursing- 4 years
  • Saneha Irfan- Bachelor of Science in Nursing- 4 years
  • Elisha Mushtag- Bachelor of Science in Nursing- 4 years
  • Hina Zakria- Information Technology


We now have 4 new students to support with the hope of leading successful lives.

Big Achievements

Congratulations Hailey Holmlund! Hailey earned 1st place in traditional forms for her taekwondo tournament at Kickside Martial Arts.

Lila Dettelback, Appalachia Service Project Summer Staff. Wishing Lila and her team an awesome summer and many blessings!

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

ADULT EDUCATION & SPIRITUAL FORMATION


Currents: We meet each Sunday for an hour, starting at 8:45am in the PCC, to discuss current topics of interest with attention to the way in which our Christian faith informs our response. The discussions are always lively and everyone’s view is respected.


The After Hours Group: Now that we have completed the “Let Justice Roll Down” Bible study. We will reconvene in September!

Men's Prayer & Mission Breakfast: First & Third Thursdays @ 8:00am

Please contact Brooks Smith (smithjbrooks25@gmail.com) if you plan to attend. We want to make sure we have enough food for both body and soul.


What's the Point?: We will be on hiatus until September, when we will resume our schedule of meeting the last Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm.


Silence Seekers: Silence Seekers presents an opportunity to experience the welcoming of another in silent presence. We meet Thursday Mornings at 9:00am at the Cemetery Chapel.
