Daycare for small dogs
Typically, when we think of doggie daycare, we think of large dogs running around and burning off excess energy, but daycare is very beneficial for small dogs as well...if it's done right!

Small dogs are often treated as "babies".  Carried around, toted along in strollers and purses and I've even seen them fed off of spoons!!  Because of this, many small dogs forget they are dogs, which leads to some behavioral issues such as being protective of their owners, attention seeking behaviors, fear based behaviors and even aggression.

Daycare offers a place for small dogs to be dogs, but the right environment is critical!!  At our Dogs Bay South location, we cater  to what we call our "Littles".

Dogs Bay South

  • Separate Small Dog area with all the amenities small dogs love such as lots of cozy spaces, a window seat overlooking our bird feeders, and even an electric fireplace!  Small dogs are always kept separate from big dogs!
  • A balance of doggie fun and lap time!  Big dogs can play all day, but our "Littles" need a good balance between fun and lap time.
  • Our cozy, homelike environment is important for our "Little" fiends!
