Looking for an opportunity to connect with fellow congregants? This summer, we’re offering a fun and easy way to get to know someone new during each of our three Community Hours.
|
After worship, grab a snack and beverage in Kreves Hall, before joining us in the sanctuary at 11:15 a.m. for Face to Face. Participants will be paired at random for two rounds of 15-minute conversations, with thoughtful conversation prompts provided to help spark meaningful connections. Unlike in the past, we are not serving lunch beforehand. Whether you’re new to the congregation or have been here for years, Face to Face is a wonderful way to deepen relationships and strengthen our community. Summer Community Hour Dates: June 14, July 12, and August 9. You do not need to pre-register. Just show up in the sanctuary at 11:15.
|
| | From time to time, we welcome special guests from the wider Unitarian Universalist community who are visiting us and may need a place to stay. If you would be interested in offering hospitality by hosting a fellow UU in your home for a night or two, please let me know as soon as possible. If you express interest, I’ll follow up with more information about what hosting might involve so you can decide whether it’s a good fit for you. Thank you in advance for considering this opportunity to extend the warmth and generosity of our community! Contact Tina Lewis at tlewis@dupageuuchurch.org for more information.

| | Our Coffee Crew is on summer hiatus, so Sunday coffee service will pause for the season. If you'd like coffee, please bring your own in a covered travel mug. We'll still have refreshing iced tea and lemonade available each Sunday throughout the summer. Thank you, Coffee Crew, for all you do!

| | Nature Lovers: Walk Your Talk Are you grateful for the wonderful forest preserves in DuPage County? Do you appreciate the clean rivers that run through them? Want to help keep them clean? Join us June 14th at 11:30 (after the Sunday service) to visit the West Branch of the DuPage River that runs through McDowell Grove in Naperville. We’ll picnic--bring your own--and then walk along the shore to pick up trash as we enjoy the preserves and each other’s company. Families are welcome. This effort will maintain our church’s “Adopt-A-Stream” sign on Diehl Road. Contact Susan Camasta to volunteer. Dave Gorman can provide more details about the project.
