Easter Greetings, friends!
This week, Margo and I travel to Camp Allen, Texas to join our collogues in the Iona Collaborative. As we dig deeper into our Thriving Congregations work, we bid your prayers for travel mercies and successful work.
I will be accessible by email while I travel.
Please join me for a virtual cup of coffee and conversation; reach me at
if you would like to meet by phone or by Zoom sometime soon.
You are invited: SUNDAYS DOWN UNDER. Come for coffee in the Undercroft after Service on Sundays. We will have socially distanced time for fellowship, Iona work, and other projects. Questions? Reach out to Rev. Cindi (
You are invited to participate in the Habitat for Humanity of South Central MN "Get on the Beam" Campaign. Please place a donation in the attached bank and sign the beam. The beam will become part of the framework for a Habitat house in our local community and your donations will purchase materials. Thank you for your contribution toward providing affordable housing for our neighbors in need. The beam will be near the entrance of church until the week of May 23rd.
The Feast of John Muir

Friday is Earth Day and coincides with the Feast of John Muir in the Episcopal Church. John Muir gets the final chapter in the excellent book on Celtic theology, Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul by Phillip Newell. Muir came to the U.S. from Scotland when he was 11 and became a fierce protector of nature. He founded the Sierra Club and was its president until his death in 1914. He influenced Teddy Roosevelt to create the National Parks System. The Celts saw God in the earth and in all of us.
Ryan Berlin participated in a signing day event at South Central College on Thursday, April 14th. He is planning on going into a transfer pathway program for Business Management. At the event it was announced Ryan won a scholarship to attend SCC. Not only does Ryan attend Mankato West and is on the Speech and Debate team he also helps his Nana out a lot at home while having a part time job at Fleet Farm.

May-June Book Club (Spiritual Practices)

Receiving Jesus: The Way of Love
by Mariann Edgar Budde

Available from Amazon and Barnes and Noble

This small, intense and lovely book contains stories both from life and Christian tradition around the practices of the Way of Love: to turn, to learn, to pray and to worship, to bless , to go and to rest. She shares both personal and biblical stories that enlighten each practice. It is an invitational book , not a how-to book, that beckons us into a closer relationship with God, each other and our neighbor.
Join me as we explore the practices and how we live them out in our own lives as people following Christ.
Starting Wednesday May 11th at 7 pm and continuing through June until we are done. We will take it at our own pace. This is through ZOOM.

Please let me know you are interested. My email is and my phone number is 651-338-2946 . If your faith community would like to do an in person group , I can arrange a one or two time get togethers for Saturdays to cover the book as well, just let me know.
Looking forward to sharing and learning and growing!!
