Partner Food Pantries Plug into Electric Vehicles


Our motto is “Serving people facing hunger.” 

 

Doing that takes many people doing a variety of workfarmers and ranchers who start the cycle, harvesters, packers, processors, on through the volunteers working on the front lines at local pantries or staffing our Mobile Market free food distributions. 

 

Transporting food from point A to point B isn’t usually the first aspect that comes to mind, yet it’s an integral piece of getting food to people who need it most. It’s also one of the most logistically complex and challenging details in getting the job done.

It’s easy to donate while you shopno matter where you do it. Here are a few places you can support Second Harvest during your next shopping trip.

 

You can now donate to Second Harvest by rounding up your purchase at checkout on Walmart.com. To create your account, click this link, enter Second Harvest Inland Northwest in “Find a local charity” and hit the “Round up” button.

 

Goodshop will donate a portion of the shopper’s purchase to the cause of their choice when purchased on goodshop.com. Select Second Harvest Inland Northwest at checkout to donate.

 

Fred Meyer shoppers can utilize their Shopper’s Card during purchase to donate to their charity of choice. Shoppers can select Second Harvest on their Fred Meyer account prior to shopping.

Cooking Class:

A Taste of Italy 


5:30 - 8:00 p.m., July 12


Let's take a bite (or two) out of Italy! In this hands-on cooking class, you'll make your own pasta and allergen- and wallet-friendly pesto. We'll also make an Italian favorite—tiramisu!


You'll get to eat what you make and take home the recipes. Each $30 ticket helps Second Harvest provide food for people facing hunger in our community.
