Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day is next Friday, April 26. It's a day we set aside to honor grandparents and share a day-in-the-life of a Heritage student with them. If your child doesn't have a grandparent close by or they cannot attend, feel free to invite someone else as an "adopted" grandparent. This will be a half day with school dismissing at 11:40 am.

We still need a few volunteers and supplies to make this day a success. If you haven't had a chance to see how you can help, click on the  Signup Genius .
Operation G.O.O.D. Update

Keep bringing in those Operation G.O.O.D pledges! We're off to a good start but we've still got a ways to go! So far we've brought in $1,556 toward our goal of $24,850. This weekend is a great opportunity to talk to family and friends about Heritage and ask for their support!
Big Plans and Good People...a Message from Mr. Annis
Recently, I shared with you the names of faculty and staff who would not be returning for the 2019/2020 school year. While we are sad to see Sue Leeland and Serah Snell move on, we are thankful for the time God has allowed them to build into the excellence of our program in their respective roles. At the time of their decision, I had two positions to fill. In March 2019, the Board of Directors voted to open a second section of kindergarten in response to unprecedented demand for 2019/2020. This gave me one additional employment vacancy to fill. As He has done for so many years, God has provided some key people to fill these key roles…and some of their names you will recognize.

Tresa Munson will return as the PK-4 th grade Music Appreciation Teacher. For those of you who are new to Heritage, this is a role that Tresa held along with directing the Heritage Singers a couple of years ago.

Jenn Van Otterloo will return after a 6 year hiatus as our new Kindergarten teacher. Jenn taught 1 st grade at Heritage for 6 years before moving to Colorado in 2012. She and her husband and two daughters are moving back to Iowa City this summer.
Jonathan Harshman will take the reins of the PE and Athletic Departments. Jonathan currently teaches and coaches in Lone Tree, Iowa. He and his wife Lindsay are parents to one of our current kindergarten students, Henry.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Spring Heritage Herald where you will be more formally introduced to these three and more.

We are still actively seeking the right person to teach in the middle school. We believe that the right person could be someone you know. Please spread the word. We are most successful in all of our endeavors with your help .
Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who helped out last Saturday morning for our spring workday. We had a great crew and accomplished several tasks around the school. We appreciate our volunteers!
