Reminder - Thanksgiving Break

No School next week due to Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday and Tuesday and the Thanksgiving holiday. We wish all of our families a safe, healthy, and relaxing Thanksgiving break!

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." I Thessalonians 5:16-18.

A Message from Mr. Goodbar

As we prepare to break for Thanksgiving I encourage you each to find ways to draw thankfulness from your kids and each other looking for God in the details and being grateful for all things. Thank you to everyone who donated to our “Everything except the Turkey” canned box/food drive as well as the Operation Christmas Child boxes.

Also, If you have benefitted from the Education Savings Account program we would love to hear your story and how Heritage has impacted your child/family. Please email Brenda Wichhart at wichhart@hcs-nl.com if you’d like to share!

Finally, We are in the midst of organizing the Heritage Gala: Educating for Eternity on February 22, and could use your assistance! We are actively seeking live auction items, silent auction items, and sponsors. Your participation, whether as an individual or representing your business, would be highly valued. We do not carry apparel items "in stock" so now is the time to buy! This online store does not carry toddler sizes, but the youth XS are the same as 5/6.

Be sure to stop by the Lost and Found table in the hallway when you're in the building for Parent Teacher conferences next week. There's plenty of quality items that would love to return to their home!

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Thank you for your contributions for our Thanksgiving Food Drive. We were able to deliver over 242 pounds of food to the North Liberty Food Pantry yesterday to help provide Thanksgiving meals for our community. Thank you to Mrs. McDonald's 2nd graders for sorting and counting the items for us!

Hills Bank Classroom Cash

Hills Bank has a program that will earn cash for Heritage called Classroom Cash. Just by using your Hills Bank debit card, you can earn money for our school. Since the program began in 2004, $8,976.87 has been donated to Heritage and over $1.52 million has been earned for all schools through the program. If you already have a Hills Bank debit card, simply fill out an application at www.HillsBank.com/ClassroomCash or visit any Hills Bank location. If you're not a Hills Bank customer and wish to earn Classroom Cash, you can apply for a checking account with a Hills Bank debit card to enroll.

Just this week we received a check for $487.87 so thank you for helping to make a difference! And thank you to Hills Bank for their support of schools!

We'd love to promote your business within the Heritage Community! It's been a couple of years since we've updated our Heritage Business Guide but if you own a business or are closely connected to a business that may be of service to other Heritage families in any way, please contact Brenda Wichhart at wichhartb@hcs-nl.com with details. As a Heritage family, we don't always know what everyone does so this is a great opportunity to be able to support one another and your businesses. Please contact Brenda by November 29th to be included in this listing of businesses owned and operated or used and trusted by parents, faculty, and staff. Our most recent copy of our Business Guide can be found here...please also let Brenda know if you see something that needs to be edited with our current information.

Enrollment for 2025-2026

Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year at Heritage Christian School is open to any new students, and we wanted you to be the first to know! Please note that if you would like to enroll a PreK student for next school year, please apply by December 2, as open enrollment for PreK families will begin the following day.

Missions - Mrs. Pretorious & Kossigan

Please continue to pray for global workers Michael and Mary Pretorious and for our Compassion International sponsored child, Kossigan, from Togo. Students are welcome to contribute towards Kossigan’s sponsorship (through Compassion International) by giving money in their classrooms or the office. Thank you!
