Chains Interrupted Presentation - April 8

We are excited to announce an evening of education for parents on the important topic of Human Trafficking. Come hear a presentation on what vulnerabilities traffickers look for in targeting our kids, how they trick and manipulate them into a trafficking situation and how you can help prevent this from happening to your child! Tish Young with Chains Interrupted will be the presenter. Chains Interrupted is a local non-profit fighting against Human Trafficking in Eastern Iowa and beyond ( www.chainsinterrupted.com ). You will also learn what you can do to join in fighting against this heinous crime.

This free event will be held on Monday, April 8th at 6:30 p.m. in the middle school science and literature classroom. Please RSVP to Brenda Wichhart at wichhartb@hcs-nl.com if you plan to attend.
H.A.N.D.S. Update

Heritage H.A.N.D.S. Meeting
Wednesday, April 10th @ 8:00am

There are only TWO H.A.N.D.S. meetings left this year!
April meeting- Grandparents' Day and Teacher Appreciation Week
May meeting- New officers election and plan for the 2019-2020 school year

If you would like to help with Teacher Appreciation Week, please let me know. We are always on the lookout for volunteers with thematic decorating ideas, graphic abilities for signs and displays, and fresh ideas on how we can shower the HCS staff with appreciation. Our Heritage families do an awesome job of showing appreciation all year long, and really shine during this special week! Local businesses have been generous in blessing our staff with gift cards, prize baskets, and meals, but we do not want to overlook our Heritage family businesses. If you have a business or know of a business that would like to sponsor gift cards, gift baskets, or a meal for this event, please contact me at: darcie_ahrens@yahoo.com

A Signup Genius will be sent out prior to Grandparents' Day and Teacher Appreciation Week for needs as well.

Thank you so much for your time and generosity throughout the school year!
