News and Updates from HCS

A Message from the Head of School

We made it through the first full week! Thank you to everyone who was able to come by for Parent Orientations this past Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We enjoyed the time to see you, share about what we do within the scope of our mission, and respond to your questions. As I shared with the parents those two nights, we have grown and anticipate even more families wanting to be a part of Heritage in the coming years. We will keep you up to date as this process develops and we seek God’s will in planning what the next phase of building will be needed to accommodate this growth in the next five to ten years.

Partners in the mission,

Mr. Goodbar

Opportunities to Volunteer

Classroom volunteer signups also went out this week so if you haven't had a chance to sign up there, please check those out. If you have questions or didn't receive the signup genius, please contact Erica Wallace (wallacee@hcs-nl.com).

Missions - Miss Mysnyk & Kossigan

Miss Mysnyk is a former Heritage student and teacher, and she is currently serving as a global worker. We have a NEW COMPASSION KIDDO, Kossigan. He is a sweet boy from Togo that we sponsor as a school through Compassion International. We encourage you to be praying for them, as we continue to pray for them at school with your children. Students will be given prayer cards and magnets next week to remind them to pray. Students are welcome to contribute towards Kossigan’s sponsorship (through Compassion International) through giving money in their classrooms or the office. Thank you!

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

Please pray for:

·        Protection (physical, spiritual, emotional, etc.)

·        Boldness (to share Jesus authentically and powerfully)

·        Peace (people of peace to help share the Good News)

·        Assurance (that God is with them and is for them)
