Message from the Board of Directors

On September 2, Gale Boldt resigned from the Heritage Board of Directors. Gale held the fundraising chair position on the Board. Due to Gale’s resignation, the Board is seeking someone who loves Jesus, has a passion for Heritage, and a willingness to dedicate time to helping with the annual fundraisers at Heritage. If you are interested in applying for the Board or seeking more information about the position, please contact Natasha Miller, [email protected].

Get Your Gear On

Show your school spirit and wear your Heritage gear to school on Fridays! It's an easy and great opportunity for the shirts to be seen out in the community for evening activities in addition to showing general school spirit. If you ordered some new gear through the recent online store, we anticipate those to be ready the first week of October. We had great participation through the online store and generated 49 orders (144 different items) and raised $270 for H.A.N.D.S. activities! Thank you!
Before and After School Supervisors Needed

Help spread the word among your friends, in the neighborhood, at your churches, and at work. If you know someone who loves working with kids and is looking for a part time job, send them our way. We're looking for additional Before and After School Supervisors from 7-8am and/or 3:30 to 5:30pm each school day. This is a great opportunity for a college student to pick up some part time work (hourly rate is $12.00). Feel free to print out this flyer to share or post. If you or someone you know is interested, contact Lisa Turnbough ( [email protected]).
Sports Update

Volleyball Recap:
The Eagles took on the INCA Patriots this past Thursday. In the 5 th /6 th match of the night, the girls faced some tough serving in the first set and couldn’t pull it out, falling 19-25. The girls persevered with some consistent serving in the second set and won 25-6. In the deciding set, the girls worked together, and with Sariah Sherman putting together some clutch serves in the final points, the Eagles defeated the Patriots 15-11 to win the match. The 7 th /8 th match was just as exciting. The girls found themselves down in the first set, but came back to win 25-23. In the second set, they couldn’t get past some tough serving and fell 15-25. In the final set, the girls worked together and hustled after the ball to hold off the Patriots, winning 15-13 to win the match. Way to go Eagles!

Soccer Recap:
The Heritage soccer team picked up two wins this week. The Eagles defeated Central Lutheran 4-1 on Tuesday behind a solid team effort that featured a strong defensive game and then finished the week off on Thursday with a victory over INCA 6-3. In the game vs. INCA the Eagles started with a scoring explosion, leading 5-0 at half before securing the victory by adding an additional goal in the second. The two wins improve the HCS record to 9-0-1 on the season. The Eagle soccer team will return to action next week when they play Lutheran Interparish School on Thursday, September 26 at 5:00 in their last home game of the season.
