Open Gym Tonight!!

Please join us for Family Open Gym tonight from 6:00-7:30pm at Heritage Christian School!

We will have FREE popcorn, games, and music to get energized and have some fun together. Parents are encouraged to bring children and siblings to play in the open gym setting. Water bottles welcome, drinking fountains available. We ask parents to remain present and responsible for their own children the entire time to help maintain a safe and fun environment.

There's only a few more days to secure your ticket to our event on February 22 at the Bella Sala Event Center. So many fun live auction items along with a long list of silent auction items with something for everyone! You'll also get to hear from Ashlynd Jones, Heritage alumna, parent, and daughter of one of the co-founders of the school speak a little about the "Heritage of Heritage". A great meal and great community event so feel free to invite your friends and neighbors!

Valentines Day Celebration

A reminder that we will not take class time to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Heritage. Please refer to the Parent Student Handbook (p. 29 and also copied below) for our policy on Holiday Celebrations and Class Parties.

Holiday Celebrations and Class Parties

At Heritage Christian School, parents hold a wide variety of opinions on the celebration of holidays, whether at school or at home. In order to remain faithful to our mission, make the most of instructional time, not confuse children, and honor the differing opinions of parents, Heritage Christian School only celebrates one holiday with a class party and that is the birth of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ at Christmas. For the other holidays (Halloween and Valentine’s Day), we ask that parents celebrate those at home if they so choose. In addition, we ask that all parents honor the school’s position by not allowing children to come dressed in costumes for Halloween or bring candy or cards for Valentine’s Day but reserve those activities for after school.

H.A.N.D.S. Meeting - Wednesday, February 12th

Join us Wednesday, February 12 for our next Heritage H.A.N.D.S. meeting at 8:15 in the teacher's lounge.

Continuous Enrollment

A reminder that if you are planning to withdraw your son or daughter from Heritage at the end of the school year and not return next year, you must notify Mr. Goodbar and Mrs. Wichhart, in writing, by March 1st. Knowing this information helps us make decisions and plan for next year. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's enrollment, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Muffins with Moms - Friday, Feb 28

Muffins with Moms is February 28 from 7:30-8:10am. This is an opportunity for students to bring their mom or a special guest to join with others for muffins and juice in the gym before school that morning. Siblings are also welcome to come along. A reminder that children should remain with their parent/special guest during this event. There will also be a photographer there that morning and you’re encouraged to get your picture taken with your child, and H.A.N.D.S. will print the pictures and send them home in your child’s Friday folder the next week.

Missions - Mrs. Pretorious & Kossigan

Please continue to pray for global workers Michael and Mary Pretorious and for our Compassion International sponsored child, Kossigan, from Togo. Students are welcome to contribute towards Kossigan’s sponsorship (through Compassion International) by giving money in their classrooms or the office. Thank you!
