Reminders:

*All 2nd-8th grade parents should sign and return the registration form  indicating if their student is participating in Heritage Singers/Jubilate or not. Please turn the forms into the office by Monday, September 10.
*Return the  Parent/Student Handbook Statement of Commitment form that indicates you have read and are in agreement with the Parent/Student Handbook as soon as possible. If you have a 6th-8th grader, they are also required to sign. *If you are a new family this year, you have already completed this form and do not need to sign it again!
Getting Involved to Make a Difference!

We need your help and would like to both challenge and invite you to join us in volunteering at least 2 hours of your time in a way that complements your talents and abilities! If you did not attend the Board Sessions at Parent Orientation Nights this past week and didn't receive a Volunteer Survey, please click here for a copy, fill it out and return it to the office as soon as possible! If you have any questions, please contact the office.
Bullying Forum - Wednesday, September 26, 7pm

Please plan to join the Board of Directors as we discuss the topic of bullying. We will define what bullying is, what the difference is between conflict and bullying, how to talk to your children about it, and how to report it if it happens. 
Opportunities to Support Heritage/Earn Cash for our School
  
There are a few different programs that Heritage participates in that can earn cash for our school or help with your own tuition dollars.
  • Amazon Orders: Simply log onto smile.amazon.com and shop as normal. The first time you log on it will ask you what charity you would like to support and you can select Heritage. For every qualifying purchase, Amazon will donate .5% back to Heritage. 
  • Boxtops for Education: Clip boxtops from hundreds of different products and turn them in to your child's classroom. Each boxtop is worth 10 cents for our school!
  • Hills Bank Classroom Cash: Just by using your Hills Bank debit card, you can earn money for Heritage. With every purchase, the bank will make a donation back to the school at various times throughout the year. There is no cost to you. To find out more or to sign up for the program click here.
  • TRIP/SCRIP: You can purchase gift cards to your favorite retailers and earn a rebate towards your tuition. There are hundreds of retailers available. For additional information about the program, visit our website. 
Sports Update

This year the Eagles will have the opportunity to participate in two cross county meets, Trinity Lutheran Cross Country Meet in Davenport and The Trinity Lutheran Cedar Rapids Cross Country Invitational. Students may sign up at the Athletic bulletin board or parents can e-mail Serah Snell at [email protected]. Please sign up by Wednesday, September 5.
