March 21st, 2025

Dear SFX Families,

It has been another outstanding week on our campus! Each morning at Pledge & Prayer, we reflected on our Lenten promises and journey, encouraging our students to be the best version of themselves, to be great friends, and to live as kids for others.

Today was especially meaningful as we celebrated World Down Syndrome Day. Our students showed their support by wearing three different colored socks, a special display of unity and inclusivity within our school.

I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ann Coover for helping make today’s golf event at Papago such a success. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, enjoying both the sport and a beautiful spring day in the desert.

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend! We look forward to seeing everyone back on campus, bright and early, Monday morning.

Peace,

Ryan Watson

Community Events

Team Taylor Family Fun Run

Started by Mark and Katie Cosmas (SFX family), Team Taylor Family Fun Run is a 3-mile run through the beautiful streets of Arcadia in Phoenix. This event is open to all ages and will take place on Sunday, April 6th.

This event is more than a run-it's a place for the community to meet and show their support for infants and their families. Funds raised during the event benefit the Phoenix Children's Home Safety & Safe Sleep Program, which provides the latest expertise and support for new parents, families, caregivers and others in our community.

Walk to End Epilepsy

7th grade student Grace Coash is organizing a team for the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona's annual Walk to End Epilepsy. 2 years ago, Grace was diagnosed with epilepsy, a condition that affects 1 out of every 26 people, which statistically could mean one student in every SFX classroom.

Grace's goal is to raise awareness about epilepsy, as awareness plays a crucial role in essential research and securing medical care and support for those affected by the condition.

Grace and her family would like to invite everyone in the SFX community to join Team Grace at the Walk to End Epilepsy on Saturday, March 29th at Seton Catholic Prep School in Chandler.
