A Message from Mr. Watson

Dear SFX Community,

Thank you all for another great week! We closed out the week with our second graders and families enjoying their Reconciliation retreat. February is always a nice point in the second semester where we begin sacramental preparation for many students.

Additionally, it is hard to believe it is already re-enrollment time. Be on the lookout later today for information regarding the 2023-2024 school year. We are blessed to have such a great, vibrant, and supportive community. Have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing you back on campus Monday morning!

Peace,

Ryan Watson

2nd Grade Family Retreat

Today, the 2nd Grade students and their parents participated in a retreat to prepare for the sacrament of Reconciliation next Wednesday, February 15th. The retreat focused on the themes of love and forgiveness and was a wonderful extension of classroom learning as well as a special experience for students and parents to share together.

Garden Club

The Garden Club meets once a week to tend to the garden and to learn about organic gardening. Each student has a rock next to a plant they are responsible for. The group starts off doing “bug patrol” where they check plants to make sure they are healthy.

Once maintenance is complete, it's harvest time! The students learn how much is appropriate to take and how to harvest without hurting the plant. Once the harvest basket is full, the students bring it to the Hungry Wolfe Cafe kitchen.
