A Message From Rev. Megan Regarding the Saunders Family

Today it was announced that the Head of School, Christine

Saunders and the School Board decided to move forward with a

leadership transition at the end of the 2025-26 school year.

It has been a joy to have the Saunders family worship with the St.

Michael’s congregation. They have shared their vast musical talents

as part of the choir, led rich children’s homilies, and been a

wonderful part of the church family. We are fortunate to have them

present with us through June.

Choral Masterworks by John Cozza

Ich lebe, mein, Herze, zu deinem Ergotzen (I Live, My Heart, for Your Pleasure), BWV 145 by Bach

Ich lebe, mein Herze, zu deinem Ergötzen, BWV 145, is a five-movement church cantata on a libretto by Picander which Johann Sebastian Bach, as its composer, probably first performed in Leipzig on Easter Tuesday, 19 April 1729. In Bach's time, the major feasts of the church year (Christmas, Easter and Pentecost) were celebrated over 3 days. This cantata was composed for the 3rd of these feast days, Easter Tuesday.

Here is a translation of the text (or clicking on the CC/Closed Captioning box on the bottom right corner of the video will bring up an English translation):
