You can share with us the person or event you would like to give flowers in gratitude or memory of via our online form, or you can email the office. Please add "Easter Flowers & Music" to the memo line of checks and mail or drop them off to the office. You can also pay online using the drop down menu by selecting Flowers & Music (Christmas and Easter).

Gethsemane Watch

In your preparation for Easter, consider participating in St. Michael’s Gethsemane Watch where you can “sit in the garden” to watch and pray with Jesus. This begins immediately following Maundy Thursday's 7pm service and goes until 8:30am Good Friday Stations of the Cross. More info found here.

St. Michael's Serves in the Community

At the end of last month St. Michael’s hosted a successful community outreach event with Rise Against Hunger packing food to be distributed to communities in need throughout the world. St. Michael’s parishioners along with family members from St. Michael’s Episcopal Day School, Starr King Tk-8 and beyond made up the 60+ volunteers working together over a 2-hour period to pack over 10,000 meals. As always this was a wonderful and fulfilling event and we look forward to hosting it in 2027. More photos from this fun event can be found on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Easter Food Gift Cards!

We are asking for donations to buy Food Gift Cards to help those in need have a special Easter meal. If you are giving by check, please write “Food Gift Card" in the memo. You can also give online or put cash in an envelope (you can find these in the pew pockets), mark it with "Food Gift Card" and put it in the plate on Sunday. Please have your donations to the church or office by Sunday March 29.

Your donations will buy Safeway gift cards that will be distributed at River City Food Bank and The Center at St. Matthew’s. Easter is a wonderful time for us to give in thanksgiving for God's blessings and forgiveness. For more information please contact Terry Bridges or the Office

St. Michael's Learn & Connect

Connecting with the Psalms: A Spiritual Formation Invitation

The Psalms have served as a prayer book of the faithful for thousands of years, capturing every human emotion from the heights of joy to the depths of despair. As we begin preparing a special new offering centered on these Biblical songs, we want our collective voices to be part of the journey. Please email Meghan Humlie or the Church office with the psalm (or psalms) that resonate with you. Dates and Times of this new offering will be published in upcoming messengers and bulletins.

Piano Meditation by John Cozza

Organ Prelude in b minor by Bach, arr. Siloti

Here is a piece whose mood is very appropriate to the Lenten season:  the Organ Prelude in g minor by J.S. Bach, transcribed/arranged for piano by Alexander Siloti. Siloti was a pupil of Franz Liszt, professor at the Moscow Conservatory in the early 20th Century, and most famously, Sergei Rachmaninov's cousin! This transcription is dedicated to his daughter Kyriena. I hope hauntingly beautiful work this provides some peaceful accompaniment to your Lenten meditations.
