Join us for worship at both services this weekend as we celebrate the inaugural appearance of the Chamber Singers of St. John's. This newly formed summer ensemble will enrich our worship with inspiring choral music by Kyle Pederson and Hans Leo Hassler, offering a beautiful blend of contemporary and Renaissance sacred music.

THANK YOU!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Vacation Bible School such a wonderful success! From our dedicated volunteers and generous donors to everyone who shared their time, talents, and prayers, your support made an incredible impact. It was a joy to watch the children learn about God's love, make new friends, sing, laugh, create, and build memories that will last long after the week ended. We are so grateful for all the families who came & for each person who helped make VBS a fun and faith-filled experience. We pray that everyone has a safe, relaxing, and blessed rest of the summer, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

By participating in our Coins for Caring Network Baby Bottle Drive, St. John Lutheran in LaGrange raised $562.92 toward the work of Caring Network, enabling our client interaction team to serve women by sharing the gospel, helping to remove obstacles that cause a woman to consider abortion, and ministering to those who have experienced abortion in the past. Each day our staff sees mothers choose life for their children, and we humbly thank you for standing with us prayerfully and financially. Thank you for your generosity!

Do you enjoy fresh flowers?
Each week the altar is beautified with fresh flowers given by individuals of St. John’s congregation. Flowers may be given in memory or in honor of someone or some occasion, in thanksgiving of something, or to the glory of God. The flowers may be taken home after the Sunday services for you to enjoy at home or perhaps share with a loved one or someone you wish to share an invitation to worship at St. John’s. The Flower Chart for 2026 is posted in the narthex on the left brick pillar as you walk into the sanctuary. Flowers are $65 for two arrangements. If you wish to sign up for a particular Sunday and someone else has already signed up, we invite you to sign up in addition to another person giving flowers—you can split the $65 cost with the person signed up or purchase an additional two arrangements for $65. Multiple floral arrangements to beautify the altar are always welcome! A member of the Altar Guild will contact you in advance for your dedication.

“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” Maya Angelou
Sounds a lot like St. Paul, who wrote to the Corinthians: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
2 Cor. 9:7
Acknowledge God’s gifts to us, and when we in turn give to others, all of us are blessed.
Example: Just think how many people have been blessed through the gifts of time and talent that the volunteers gave to host a wonderful Vacation Bible School. God blessed everyone who worked and everyone who came to VBS. Praise the Lord!
