Come to Sunday School and hear the whole story.

Lutheran Church Charities has deployed to California. Rev. Singer from LCC said, "We are coordinating with nearby churches that remain unaffected by the fires to provide shelter for the displaced and deliver essential disaster recovery resources to the community. We will administer Spiritual First Aide to those in shelters and bring that golden comfort of our K-9 teams.
If you would like to contribute to LCC you can do so in 3 ways. We will have a door collection after both services on January 19 and 26; or you can designate on your church envelope or the blue pew envelope the amount you would like to contribute to LCC Wildfires: or you can donate directly to LCC online with the following link https://www.lutheranchurchcharities.org/disasterresponse-deployment-californiawildfires.html The link also contains more information about the deployment.
LCC is a 501(c)(3) charity. Please keep LCC staff and volunteers, first responders and survivors in your prayers during this challenging times.

The Jubilation Ringers Need You!
We are excited to bring an adult/teen handbell choir back to St. John’s to enhance our liturgical celebrations throughout the year. The ability to read music/rhythms is very helpful, however, previous handbell experience is not required. Rehearsals will take place on Sundays from 9:15am – 10:15am in Church. This ensemble is open to all parishioners or members of the community. If you are interested in becoming a member or need more information, please email Dr. Marc Brunelle, Director of Music, at m.brunelle@stjohnslagrange.org

What is the St. John’s School Annual Fund?
Students at St. John’s are very blessed to have the support of this congregation.
The costs above and beyond tuition are borne by the members of this Church.
In an effort to support more families who wish to give their children a Christian education, the School has instituted the School Annual Fund.
Money given for this purpose is really an investment in young Christian lives, so we thank you for any contribution, regardless of the size.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
~John 15:16

One definition of Christian Stewardship is “the free and joyous activity of God’s family — the church — in managing life’s resources for His purposes.” The Board of Stewardship looks forward to providing St. John’s Congregation with education and ideas on managing best what God has entrusted to us to thank Him for His lavish gifts. As you listen to Sunday’s sermon and comments on Stewardship, we hope you move forward on your journey of personal Stewardship, whether that means taking the first steps or continuing a lifelong journey.

The 2025 Flower Chart is now available in the Narthex!
Do you enjoy fresh flowers? Each week the altar is beautified with fresh flowers given by individuals of St. John’s congregation. Flowers may be given in memory or in honor of someone or some occasion, in thanksgiving of something or to the Glory of God. The flowers may be taken home after the Sunday
services for you to enjoy at home or perhaps share with a loved one or someone you wish to share an invitation to worship at St. John’s. The Flower Chart for 2024 is posted in the narthex on the left brick pillar as you walk into the sanctuary. Flowers are $55 for two arrangements. If you wish to sign up for a particular Sunday and someone else has already signed up, we invite you to sign up in addition to another person giving flowers – you can split the $55 cost with the person signed up or purchase an additional two arrangements for $55. Multiple floral arrangements to beautify the altar are always welcome! A member of the Altar Guild will contact you in advance for your dedication.
