Last Sunday, St. Christopher's Youth Group enjoyed a fun-filled evening at DEFY Indy, where they challenged the climbing wall, foam pits, trampolines, basketball hoops for slam dunks, a trapeze, and an obstacle course. See pictures taken during the event at the link below.

Next up: Our youth will have a study night on Sunday, March 24, 5:00 - 7:00 pm, at the Starbucks adjacent to the church.
Finance and Facilities
One of the Seven Ministries

This week we feature the Finance and Facilities Ministry, which is responsible for all matters related to the financial health of St. Christopher’s as well as the physical health of the buildings and grounds.

The Finance Team handles activities including audits, budgets, investments, stewardship, and reporting on operational results. This team meets at least once a month to review current and year-to-date results. It also works with the other six ministries on their operational activities and issues. One of the largest tasks that this group undertakes on an annual basis is the Stewardship Drive. The success of the campaign is solely based on parishioners volunteering their time and monetary resources to ensure that St. Christopher’s has enough income to cover our budgets year over year.

The Facilities Team works to ensure that the fixed assets of St. Christopher’s are in good working order. This team meets at least once a month and helps coordinate efforts for repair and maintenance of the buildings and outdoor areas. The areas of volunteer opportunities for this group include the Field of Dreams Team, maintaining the natural playground, and providing oversight for the Columbarium Committee.
This ministry will also lead the charge to hire a Sexton for St. Christopher’s.

This is a large ministry and volunteer assistance is always greatly needed. Please contact any of the members below if you have questions or would like to join our team.

Return Filled Snack Bags by March 17

Did you take a spring break snack bag? Please return it by this Sunday filled with non-perishable food items that require little to no preparation time. Bags of fresh apples, tangerines, or clementines will be appreciated too. On behalf of the children who will receive these snack bags, thank you for your loving and generous help.
Backpack Ministry
Change of Date for Packing

We have changed the date for packing backpacks to avoid conflicts with spring break and Palm Sunday. The new "packing party" date is Sunday, March 24, immediately following the 10:00 am service.

Deliveries will be made to Carmel area schools during the week of April 22. Can you volunteer to make a delivery? If so, please contact Meghan Tooman statsavior2009@gmail.com

The April delivery will be the last for this school year. We will resume our ministry September/October. Thank you to everyone who has helped with or supported this ministry.
Butter Braids Sale

A sure sign of spring at St. Christopher's is the Kitchen Crew's Butter Braids sale. We're letting you know about it a bit early, as the sale runs for just one week and it coincides with spring break for some. Here's the schedule:

Sunday, March 24 - Butter Braids Samples at Coffee Hour | Ordering begins
Sunday, March 31 - Ordering ends
Palm Sunday, April 14 - Butter Braids delivered

Proceeds from the sale of Butter Braids are used to purchase equipment and supplies for the church kitchen.
UTO Blue Boxes
United Thank Offering (UTO)

We invite you to commit to a personal daily spiritual discipline of gratitude during Lent. Notice the good things that happen each day. Then give thanks for these blessings by adding coins to a UTO Blue Box. You will find the UTO blue boxes on a table in the Narthex.

UTO is a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church. UTO distributes 100% of what is collected to support innovative missions and ministries throughout The Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion.

Return your UTO boxes by April 28 and place them in the wooden cross in the Narthex. Our hope is to fill our wooden cross with blue boxes. Let’s show how truly grateful we are for everything we have.
