Farewell for Mother Jenny
Sunday, May 6, During Coffee Hour

Mother Jenny's tenure as our faithful Associate Rector is quickly coming to an end. Sunday, May 6, is her last Sunday. That day she will preach at both services.

Following the 10:00 a.m. service, we will host a festive ice cream social to honor Mother Jenny's work with us over the past five years and wish her Godspeed as she begins her new ministry as Rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Webster Groves, Missouri. Please join us to thank her for all the ways she has blessed our life in this parish.
St. Christopher's Crops Garden
Prep Day and Beyond

With faith that spring will actually come to Central Indiana, St. Christopher’s Crops team has scheduled a garden prep day on Saturday, May 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon. Can you help? The beds need to be cleaned out and prepared for planting. It will be a fun day for all with tasks for all ages. (A rain date has been set for Saturday, May 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon.)

Would you like to help with the garden? Work days are Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. Use the Garden Crew Signup Genius form to choose your work times from Saturday, May 12, to Wednesday, August 29.
Summer Lunch Program

Please stop by the Carmel Summer Lunch Program table in the narthex on May 6,13, or 20 to learn more about this ministry. You can get signed up to help support the 40 kids who will be a part of St. Christopher’s community outreach site this summer. We look forward to having you join us!
St. Christopher's Annual Strawberry Fest
Volunteer Now for the Shift of Your Choice

The 13th Annual Strawberry Fest will be held on Saturday, June 9, from 12 Noon to 8:00 p.m. Our event will be held in the PNC Bank parking lot at the corner of Rangeline Road and Main Street. It will coincide with the Gallery Walk in the Carmel Arts and Design District.

You might be asking why we are promoting the Strawberry Festival now when it's more than a month away. We need to know by Memorial Day that we have sufficient volunteers in place to fill all our shifts. If you can staff a sign-up table, bake, serve ice cream, cut shortcakes, take tickets, or clean tables, please consider volunteering for a couple of hours to help make our annual community outreach event a success.

Sign up for a particular role and shift using the button below for Signup Genius or stop by the Strawberry Fest table this Sunday.
Please welcome our latest members

Alex Esche, an Actuarial Assistant at CNO Financial here in Carmel, has been attending the 10:00 am service at St. Christopher’s for the last several months. Alex has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and will receive his MS in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University later this spring. He is currently pursuing actuarial accreditation. His first connection with the Episcopal Church was at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in DeKalb. He participated in the most recent Inquirer’s Class. Alex lives in Westfield.

Dick and Ann Frey recently requested a Letter of Transfer from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Brockport, New York, where they were active for 37 years serving as pledge secretary and on the Vestry. They recently moved to Carmel to be closer to son and daughter-in-law, Don and Gina, and their Indiana grandchildren, Lucy, Sophie, and Mateo. Dick is a retired college professor teaching law and political science. He holds a BA from Cornell University, a JD from Texas, and an MS from Oregon. Ann, a retired high school history and government teacher has a BA from Western Washington, and an MS from Oregon. Retired since 2005, Dick has enjoyed bridge and golf, while Ann has been a member of book clubs. Their volunteer activities have focused on prisoner re-entry programs (Dick) and literacy and local history (Ann.)
New Photos of the Natural Playground Dedication
added to the Photo Gallery

Thanks to James Gartner, we have 60 new photos taken during the dedication. They have been added to the album, "James Gartner Natural Playground Dedication." If you are a parent with a young child or children who explored the playground last Sunday, view the gallery to see if their images are among those James captured. Despite the fact that you will see a "buy now" icon, you can download without incurring a fee. There are some priceless ones!
