Festival of the Holy Trinity

This week is Holy Trinity Sunday, a day to celebrate the mystery of the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The lectionary invites us into the wisdom of God in Proverbs 8, the peace and hope poured into our hearts by the Spirit in Romans 5, and Jesus’ promise in John 16 that the Spirit will guide us into all truth. As Lutherans, we don’t try to solve the mystery of the Trinity—we proclaim it. Come reflect on how the Triune God is not an abstract idea, but the living God who meets us in grace, love, and communion.

CONGREGATIONAL CARE

Update for June

The Ministry Site Profile has been forwarded to the Synod and was presented to the Church Council in May. The call committee chair, Stan Yaro met with our synod representative, Pastor Nicole in May to review our profile and to discuss the future details of the call process.

The committee anticipates interviewing candidates in June but will have a “mock interview” for practice beforehand. This is an exciting step for Emmanuel.

making/serving lunches or snacks
cleaning up
lunch on Thursday, June 26th (apprx. 11 people)
