A Thanksgiving Blessing

Gracious God, we lift up our hearts in gratitude and thanksgiving to you. Help us to offer thanks for the gifts we seldom notice, to praise you for the many things we often take for granted, and to glorify your name for how you have watched over us through another year of planting and of harvest. For all that you have done, for all that you are, and for all that you will ever do, we lift up our voices in praise. Hear our prayers and help us to live as ones with eternally grateful hearts. In Jesus' name, Amen.

From the clergy, staff and lay leadership at West Point First UMC, we wish you a blessed and happy Thanksgiving!

SERVE

Christmas Toy Drive

We will be collecting unwrapped toys from Dec. 1 - Dec. 8 to give to the Christian Service Center! Toys can be for a child of any age, and be dropped off in the Sanctuary.

We need cereal, shampoo, rice, peanut butter, jelly, canned or fresh vegetables, potted meat, Spam or Treet, Vienna Sausage, and small bottles of laundry and dish detergent for the Little Free Pantry. Monetary donations are also appreciated!

Serve with our Children & Youth!

In the UMC Baptismal Covenant, we are challenged to nurture our kids and students in the life of the Church and the Christian faith. Studies show it takes at least 5 adults beyond their parents to help nurture young people into a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a part of passing down faith to the next generation by serving with Children or Youth on Sundays and Wednesdays.

WORSHIP

Blue Christmas Worship

For many, the holiday season is not only a time of joy, but also a time when grief, loneliness, or weariness feels particularly heavy. Join us in the Chapel at 5PM on Dec. 8 for a service of remembrance, reflection, and hope as we make room for light to shine in the midst of the darkness.

"Celebrate the Coming of the Lord"

Join with your church family for the presentation of our Chancel Choir's annual Christmas cantata Sunday December 15 during Morning Worship at 11 am.

Come, Let Us Adore Him

Gather with us this Christmas Eve as we celebrate the birth of Christ! Worship will begin at 5PM in the Sanctuary, and all are invited to join us at 4:45PM to sing our favorite carols. Together, we will experience the beauty of the season and share in the warmth of candlelight as we welcome the Christ Child into the world. All are welcome—come, let us adore Him!
