What a great Sunday! And what a great week!

Many thanks to everyone who made VBS such a success - whether you helped decorate, bought supplies, served as a group or station leader, registered attendance, served in the kitchen, or helped dismantle the decorations - your help was MUCH appreciated! We couldn't have done it without YOU! And a big shout out to Troup County School System for providing the food! 36 "campers" learned about trusting God to lead the way, go with us, give us peace, and spark joy.

We collected $199.15 in the "Noisy Sunday" offering for Wesley Wood!

Mychal preached a great message and reminded us that it is our job to "pick up the mantle" and carry on with the work of the church.

We welcomed the Owens family into official membership. Daniel Owen by reaffirmation of faith...Ashley Owen, Karlie Martin, Calie Martin, and Colten Owen by profession of faith and the sacrament of Holy Baptism...Cooper Owen by the sacrament of Holy Baptism.

After a great morning of worship, we gathered in the Zachry Center for a farewell reception for Pastor Mychal, who is beginning a new chapter in her ministry at Hiawassee UMC. Thanks to our own Terri Culpepper for a delicious BBQ lunch!

The church office will be closed Friday, July 4th.

Wesley: Then and Now

Call Pastor Ed or Jan Hollis for more info.

NOTE: There will be another group forming this fall that will dive into what it means to be a United Methodist so stay tuned.

SERVE

We need peanut butter, shampoo, and Spam or Treet for the Little Pantry!

Monetary donations are always welcome,

and we appreciate the items some place in the pantry as welll!

Serve with our Children & Youth!

In the UMC Baptismal Covenant, we are challenged to nurture our kids and students in the life of the Church and the Christian faith. Studies show it takes at least 5 adults beyond their parents to help nurture young people into a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a part of passing down faith to the next generation by serving with Children or Youth on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Call the church office or

see Pastor Ed to volunteer!

We celebrate that we served

50 people last Thursday (June 26)

at Soup Kitchen!

If you would like to serve with one of our Soup Kitchen Teams contact the church office, or Helen here.

Listening is a sacred gift of the Holy Spirit.
