This Week at WPFUMC

Week of May 5, 2025

Camp Firelight VBS – June 23–26 | 5:30–8:00 PM

This summer, we're welcoming our friends and neighbors PreK through 5th Grade for an exciting adventure at Camp Firelight VBS! From storytelling and games to crafts and science, it's going to be a week full of faith, fun, and friendship, and we need your help to make it happen! Whether you can assist with decorating beforehand, guide campers through rotations, or donate supplies and treats, there’s a role for everyone in our church family.

Interested in volunteering? Join us for a Volunteer Interest Meeting on Wednesday, May 14 at 6:30 PM in the Banquet Room to learn more about how you can be part of this incredible week of ministry.

Let’s come together to shine Christ’s light in the lives of our young campers!

SERVE

The Little Free Pantry supplies

 have been restocked.

Monetary donations

are much appreciated!

And as always,

feel free to add non-perishable food items to the pantry

or to pick up extra when

doing your own grocery shopping!

We need Wednesday Night Supper volunteers - both to help set out the food at serving time AND to assist in cleaning up after supper. You can choose one or the other OR BOTH. The rotation would begin in late May, and if we have enough volunteers, you would only need to serve every 4 weeks.

CALL THE CHURCH OFFICE TO SIGN UP!!!

Serve with our Children & Youth!

In the UMC Baptismal Covenant, we are challenged to nurture our kids and students in the life of the Church and the Christian faith. Studies show it takes at least 5 adults beyond their parents to help nurture young people into a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a part of passing down faith to the next generation by serving with Children or Youth on Sundays and Wednesdays.

In the world we experience,

death is the last thing.

It is the final act of all lives.

In the Christian year, however,

life follows death.

The end of everything is the beginning of unimagined and unexpected newness.

~Diana Butler Bass

A little mercy makes the world less cold and more just.
