Smithville Growth Blueprint
The Smithville Growth Blueprint returns in September with two valuable marketing topics combined into one expanded workshop.
Marty McDonald and MCPL Square One Small Business Services will help local businesses connect their print and digital marketing into one consistent campaign while also preparing for the busy holiday and end-of-year season.
When: Wednesday, September 16 | 9:00–10:30 a.m.
Where: Mid-Continent Public Library – Smithville, 120 Richardson St.

Get Involved in the 2026 Smithville Backyard BBQ Bash!
One of Smithville’s biggest community events of the year is quickly approaching!
The Smithville Backyard BBQ Bash – Featuring the Main Street District Market & Whiskey Social will bring together a BBQ competition, local vendors, the Whiskey Social, a pickleball tournament and activities throughout the day in Downtown Smithville.
There are several ways for Chamber members and community partners to participate:
• Enter a team in the BBQ competition
• Promote your organization through sponsorship
• Volunteer during the event
• Serve as a competition judge
• Attend and enjoy the festivities
When: Saturday, September 26 | 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Where: Downtown Smithville
We are actively looking for additional BBQ teams, judges and volunteers. Sponsorship opportunities are also still available. Whether you want to compete, promote your business or help behind the scenes, your involvement will play an important role in making this year’s event a success.

Private Office Space Available at the Chamber
A private office is still available inside the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce building. This affordable, professional space is ideal for a small business owner, independent professional or remote worker looking for a dedicated workspace and a visible presence near Downtown Smithville.
The 102-square-foot office includes utilities, high-speed internet, secure access and use of the building’s shared lobby, conference room, kitchen and restroom. Signage opportunities are also available.
Lease Options:
• One-year lease: $650 per month
• Two-year lease: $600 per month
