Chamber Member of the Month

We are celebrating Plattsburg License Office as our Chamber Member of the Month!

Hello Smithville Chamber members!

We, at the Plattsburg License Office, are blessed and honored to be selected as the Smithville Chamber’s business of the month for November.

During last month’s chamber meeting we were excited to provide your delicious lunch which was provided by the American Legion’s talented staff. We applaud Hope and her staff. The opportunity also allowed us to showcase two Plattsburg businesses, Sugar Whipped Bakery and Chill Ice Cream for dessert treats that brought plenty of raves from the attendees.

Our License Office is blessed to have a robust number of our customers who call Smithville and the surrounding area home. We often claim our office is ‘Smithville North’, because of the number of Smithville customers coming to our License Office.

What we know from your comments is that you appreciate our customer friendly clerks, our spacious seating arrangement where all our customers are greeted by our experienced staff. This initial check-in allows us to confirm that you have the necessary documentation before entering to complete your transactions. This check-in process speeds up the process and provides the opportunity to gather the needed information.

Of note there are plenty of changes on the horizon especially regarding your driver licenses. We have provided a link to our Facebook Page to what is happening statewide, including our office.

Even though our home base is in Plattsburg, just a few miles north of Smithville, we have enjoyed a close business relationship with the Smithville community. The original business owners of the Big V Country Mart grocery stores were Bill and Martha Parks. Both were Plattsburg High School graduates before they were married. Both of their sons, Berry and Chastain Parks were managers of their locations, Berry in Smithville, Chastain in Kearney.

For those of you who have been customers and taken advantage of our customer friendly services, we thank you! For those who continue to battle the issues at the larger offices, we encourage you to come and experience the difference because -

“We aren’t your normal DMV”

Thanks again,

Steve Tinnen, agent
