Greetings!
October is here, and we have several opportunities ahead to gather, network and celebrate our local business community. After a successful Smithville Backyard BBQ Bash, we’re excited to keep that momentum going!
Thank You for a Great BBQ Bash!
Downtown Smithville was full of community spirit on Saturday for the Smithville Backyard BBQ Bash – Featuring the Main Street District Market!
The BBQ competition, local vendors, egg toss, and watermelon and pie-eating contests made for a day of fun and friendly competition. Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to all the teams that joined us!
We’re grateful to the sponsors, volunteers, board members, competitors and community partners who contributed their time and support before and during the event. Special thanks to Smithville Main Street District for partnering with us and to the City of Smithville for helping bring it all together.
Thank you also to Porter’s Ace Hardware for donating our raffle grill and partnering with award-winning pitmaster Chris Marks of Three Little Pigs to offer a free amateur BBQ class for registered competitors.
Everyone who volunteered, competed, supported our vendors or came downtown to enjoy the day helped make this year’s event a success. We appreciate you being part of it!
Rise & Shine — Wednesday, October 7
