Semester One Grades

Grade access in mySFHS was reactivated last week. First semester report cards, official transcripts, GPA updates, and honor roll are now finalized and visible.


If you have a question or concern about a specific grade, please contact your teacher. If you have a specific question regarding GPA calculations, please contact Dr. Kate Schulte, Assistant Principal of Academics.

Winter Spirit Week & Dance

Save the date, Spartans! Winter Spirit Week is February 2-7. This week is packed with school spirit and winter fun that will lead right into the Winter Dance on Saturday, February 7. More details coming in next week's Weekly Spartan and on mySFHS. Stay tuned!

Women's Empowerment Group

Women's Empowerment Group is now open for registration! This group aims to help girls make good life choices and increase their confidence in their talents and abilities. Topics include peer pressure, self-image, leadership skills, girls’ health issues, career choices, goal setting, stress management, and more. The group also addresses the impact of media exposure on body image and healthy eating behaviors.

 

Weekly meetings begin on Tuesdays during alternating periods and continue for six weeks starting February 3. Open to all grades. The enrollment deadline is Thursday, January 29.  Space is limited and registration is required.

Sophomore Retreat

The Sophomore Retreat is a graduation requirement and is held at the Riverwoods Christian Center in St. Charles on Wednesday, January 28. Sophomores will report to homeroom and are bussed to Riverwoods. Please note no sophomores can drive themselves to the retreat. Students will return to SFHS by 2:30 p.m. Please see last week's Weekly Spartan for more detailed information.

Bluebook Testing App Update

Students sitting for an AP exam in May, or a college test that requires the Bluebook testing app, need to complete the automatic update. To do this, students should open their Bluebook app and the updates will automatically run on the application. Reminder: do not close the app while it is updating. Please know students received an email from the IT Department with this information as well.

Ensuring Our Future Auction 2026

Our biggest fundraising event of the year - the Ensuring Our Future Auction - is Saturday, February 28! Join us at our new location - the Marriott Naperville,1801 Naper Boulevard.


Did you know there's a special VIP experience at this year's auction? Get early access to the event, signature cocktails, champagne service, chef-selected hors d’oeuvres, and a private area for mingling in style! VIP guests are also entered in special raffles with prizes such as a signed SFHS football jersey, “Pick Your Locker” incentives, and a round of golf at a private elite course!


To go VIP, purchase your tickets, then add-on the "VIP Pre-Party Experience" for the number of people in your party. Select sponsorships also include VIP access.

Out of appreciation for current parents making a major gift commitment, we are offering the following options to ensure your child has an onsite parking space during the school day at the following levels:

  • $3,000: Spot for one year
  • $5,000: Spot for two years
  • $10,000: Spot for three years


Parents may indicate they wish to reserve the spot on the pledge or online donation form. We will share more detailed information via email after the Thanksgiving holiday related to the logistics of future parking at SFHS. If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out to a member of our Advancement Team.

Service Opportunity: Please consider committing to cook individually packaged meals with family or friends for those who access DuPage PADS Interim Housing Center. Residents do not have access to full kitchens and rely on volunteers to provide meals. To learn more and access a calendar to sign up for a day to cook, click here.


Opt-In for Text Messages: In the event of an inclement weather schedule change or emergency, we send text message notifications to parents in addition to an email and phone call. Parents must opt-in to receive text messages, but the process is simple! Just text "Yes" to 79041 and then save the number as SFHS in your contacts so you don't miss the message.
