Kate R. Receives National Robotics Leadership Award

Kate Reidenbach competed in the Robotics FIRST National Championship in Houston last weekend and received the Leadership Award! She was one of just 10 to receive the honor.

“This is an award for Kate but also a reflection on SFHS and the caliber of students it develops. Kate is the fourth Illinois High school student in 17 years to earn the award,” said SFHS Robotics moderator, and Kate's father, Kurt Reidenbach.

Her evaluation included and reflected on all her efforts in the community, with SFHS, and with her FIRST Robotics Competitions team. In addition to the award, Kate has the opportunity to participate in media and promotional appearances, and benefits including travel to sponsor and program events. Congratulations, Kate!

End-of-Year Reminders from Wellness Office

Rising Seniors (Class of 2027) must submit proof of the second dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine. Many students receive the second dose on or around their 16th birthday. Please check your student’s health immunization record to ensure this is complete. If the second dose is needed, please schedule this over summer break and upload it to Magnus Health under the Child Health Immunization Form field.

All Student-Athletes must submit an annual Sports Physical Exam, upload it to Magnus Health, and receive approval from the Wellness Office before they can participate. Sports physicals are good for 13 monthsStudents and parents must sign the Sports Physical Exam Form. If your child does not participate in athletics, no physical is required.

Please pick up your child's medications from the Wellness Office (epipens, etc.) after their last final. You may also give permission for medications to go home with your child by emailing sanderson@sfhscollegeprep.org. Medications not picked up are disposed of; they may not stay in the Wellness Office over the summer.

2026-27 Parent Pledge - Deadline Today!

We are asking every family to participate in our Annual Parent Pledge - please complete the form in mySFHS asap and no later than Friday, May 8.

Many are surprised to learn that tuition covers only 80% of the actual cost to educate a student. This leaves a "gap" of $3,600 per student—a space filled every year by the generous donations of parents, alumni, and friends. Your pledge isn't just a donation; it’s an investment that reaches our classrooms directly, providing the resources our faculty and students need to excel.

Completing your pledge is simple:

  1. Log in to mySFHS.
  2. Click the yellow banner at the top of your account page.
  3. Note you only need to submit one form per family.
