Homecoming Food Collection
More than 1,300 items were collected during the Homecoming Food Drive for Mission of Our Lady of the Angels.

Congratulations to the SFHS Girls Golf team and Boys Golfer, Beckett J., on qualifying for the IHSA State Tournament, which takes place this weekend! We are so proud of both teams for their outstanding seasons and wish our state qualifiers the best of luck!
We celebrated with a traditional SFHS State Send-Off on October 5.

Girls Tennis Senior Teacher Appreciation

|
At the SFHS Girls Tennis' Senior Teacher Appreciation event, each senior invited a teacher to play in an abbreviated doubles tournament.
Administrators, students, and parents all came together to enjoy a beautiful day on the courts.
Out of 20 teams, winners Elise W. and Mr. Harper were the last team standing. Congratulations, and thank you to all of our teachers!

1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6

This year's Red Ribbon Week focuses on the importance of making positive and healthy decisions. SADD members, the Counseling Department, and various faculty volunteers have planned an exciting lineup of educational and fun activities. SFHS Tackles Breast Cancer and Football Senior Night 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, pink T-shirts and raffles available in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. More information here and donations welcome here.
Cards for Kids After School Thursday, October 13 in Room 1207. Students are invited to make cards for children in the hospital. Supplies provided or bring your own!
Uniform Resale 2:00-5:00 p.m. Friday, October 14 in the Atrium. Pants, polos, girls sweaters and fleece, SpartanWear and gym uniforms are available.
Parent Teacher Conferences Wednesday, October 26-Thursday, October 27. Parents register for 10-minute conferences with their child’s teachers through an online scheduler in mySFHS. Conference registration times and procedures will follow in upcoming Weekly Spartans. Action Requested: If you have not accessed mySFHS recently, please login before the end of this weekend – especially in light of the recent Blackbaud ID migration. SFHS Family Tailgate: 4:00 p.m. (New Time) Friday, October 7. Join the Mothers’ and Fathers’ Clubs in our annual Family Tailgate. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, desserts, and drinks provided. Music, games, raffles, and more for kids of all ages!
Wednesday, October 12, there is no school for seniors and it is an adjusted schedule for the Freshman Retreat and standardized testing for sophomores (PreACT) and juniors (PSAT). Questions? Contact Bridget Buckley, Director of Counseling, at bbuckley@sfhscollegeprep.org.
Testing Day Information: 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, October 12
- Bring #2 pencils and calculators.
- Students receive an assigned testing room upon arrival.
- Students may wear Outta Uniform attire.
- If driving, park in a white-numbered spot.
- PreACT: finished by 11:15 a.m.; PSAT: finished by 11:45 a.m.
- If your student receives extended time, we will contact you.
Freshman Retreat - Wednesday, October 12: Students should report to the Spyglass Athletic Center for check-in at 7:40 a.m. We will travel by bus to Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg for a morning of service. Student Ministry Team seniors and faculty will accompany the freshmen. Students should dress in Spirit Wear, eat a good breakfast, and wear closed-toe shoes, and no jewelry or earbuds. Students will return for pick-up at 11:30 a.m.

Grandparents Day: 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25. Grandparents of senior students are invited to campus to celebrate the very important relationship grandparents have in the lives of our students. Registration closes Monday, October 14. To register, click here.
