Carter House: Celebrating 30+ Years

This Sunday after 10.00 a.m. Eucharist

Mr. Ted M. Handel, current president of the Carter House, will be present for church and an ice cream social as the congregation celebrates this important ministry. Carter House offers people with mental health and physical disabilities a safe place to live. The property is built on land that originally housed a mission congregation of St. John's. Additional members of the cathedral community will be elected to the board after Sunday morning services. Heartfelt thanks is extended with gratitude to Mr. Ted Handel, Ms. Karen Uhler, and Dr. Martha Watson for their faithful service on the Carter House board.

Bible Study Resumes

Wednesday, July 9, 16, and 23

6.00 p.m.

Art and the Bible: A Visual Journey Through Christian History is the title of our three-week summer Bible study exploring the rich conversation between faith and art. Each session will delve into a different era of Christian art—from the Early Church to the splendor of Renaissance masterpieces, and into bold modern expressions of faith. Together we’ll reflect on how paintings, sculptures, and icons help illuminate Scripture, deepen spiritual insight, and tell the story of God’s people through beauty, creativity, and sacred imagination. Come be inspired — and bring a favorite piece of religious art to share! Contact Rev. Mel Soriano to join the Zoom sessions Wednesdays, July 9, 16, & 23 from 6:00–7:00 PM

Children's Ministry Seeks Volunteers

Sunday Mornings

10.00 a.m.

Do you have a heart for kids and a love for sharing God's story? Come sit with us in Children’s Chapel on Sunday mornings! We’re looking for a few volunteers to help once a month with activities, stories, and gentle guidance alongside our littlest worshippers.

Teachers welcome. Those with a spirit of kindness and curiosity are welcome. You’ll be sitting with me, helping to nurture the faith and wonder of our children in a fun, meaningful way. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, or just someone who loves seeing faith come alive through young eyes, we’d love to have you! Help us grow this ministry.

Interested? Reach out to the Rev. Mel. Let’s help grow the church, one child at a time.
