Dear St. Giles Families,
Happy Catholic Schools Week! CSW Kick-off Mass – today!
We are thrilled that our Lions will represent our school at today’s 10:30 am Mass in St. Giles Church. Remember, any Lion who wears their full uniform to this morning’s Mass will get an out of uniform pass for early February! We hope to see you there as we kick off Catholic Schools Week. I’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to our marketing team for helping to coordinate today’s Open House activities. Please join us after Mass from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at Open House – all are welcome!
We have a lot of fun activities and celebrations scheduled for the week and we thank PTO for their partnership to ensure a wonderful experience for our Lions. Our Catholic Schools Week Committee has a lot of fun and interactive activities planned throughout the week! Thursday afternoon we have a spirit assembly with some inter-grade competitions and the faculty/student volleyball game. If you’re able to join us, please come to the gym and catch all the fun and excitement. You’ll hear it on Linden as we all cheer each other on for a win! Please check the schedule below for your Lion’s Buddy Lunch – one less day for you to have to make one and a special chance for our Lions to spend time with their beloved Buddies. If you ordered Marla’s for your Lion on their Buddy Lunch day, we will send it home with them. Thank you again to our Catholic Schools Week Committee, PTO and all of our volunteers who are making this annual celebration possible!
You will see in the schedule that there are themed out-of-uniform days as part of our celebration. Please note: due to our all-school Mass on Wednesday, January 31st, at 1:00 pm, all students will be in full uniform on Wednesday. Please join us if you are able –Catholic Schools Week is a celebration for the entire community!
Have a wonderful week!
Meg

Science and History Fair
We are roaring with pride after seeing and hearing the presentations from our 7th and 8th graders at the Science and History Fair last week! After all of their hard work, they presented their projects to our students and judges to move on to the regional competition. Thank you to Ms. Lofgren and Ms. Krumm for guiding our 7th graders and Mrs. Kent for her work with our 8th graders to direct their research, papers, and presentations. Congratulations to everyone on their hard work and to our winners who will be moving on to regionals!

As an avid Art fan I love to explore new Museums or Art Galleries locally and whenever I travel. I'm also a hockey fan (Blackhawks and Islanders) and have been to every Ice Rink in IL to watch my twin sons play their favorite game.
