From the Rector

Last week was an unusual Holy Week. The way we worshipped was very different, and many have remarked on the irony that our physical separation has, in some ways, drawn us closer together. Your church is still here, and we will continue to worship together. I want to thank Mr. Morley and the quartet from the choir, Kristen Walker, Tori Swilley, Marty Angiulli, and Steve Galloway for their hard work that has allowed our tradition of Anglican choral music in worship to continue. I want to thank Jan Elliott, Debbi Huelsman, and John Edgar for keeping our office up and running, even when no one is in it. I want to thank Ayana Grady for keeping our kids connected in a spiritual and prayerful (and fun) way. I want to thank Michael Matthews and Ken Johnston for keeping our physical facilities maintained. I want to thank Deacon Moore and Fathers Reho, Cannon, and Goodheart for their ministries. For developing the technology that allows us to provide online worship and ministry opportunities, thanks goes to Kim French, Lee Lowry, and to someone without whom much of this would not have been possible, John Edgar. You can be proud of your St. John's Church Team. I sure am!

May all blessings be yours during this Eastertide.

Sunday's Scripture Snippet

If you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.

However, because health regulations prohibit the clergy from being informed when our parishioners are in the hospital, we will not know if you or someone you love is there unless you tell us. We want to provide support in any time of need or crisis. Please call the parish offices at 259.1570 or  click here to email us to let us know when you need us.

If you have a pastoral emergency when the parish offices are closed, please call 906.5199.
